The Franklin County Tax Office continues to limit public access to the front Collections counter only. Many transactions can be completed via e-mail, website, phone, fax, drop box (right side of main entrance) or US mail.
The Franklin County Board of Equalization and Review has adjourned for 2021. The statutory period during which citizens may appeal their property values on real and personal property located within Franklin County has ended. The Board of Equalization and Review will continue to work any appeals submitted prior to their adjournment.

The Tax Office:
The Franklin County Tax Office is responsible for listing, appraising, and assessing all real estate, personal property, and registered motor vehicles within Franklin County. The Tax Office is charged with collecting all current and delinquent taxes on this property. The GIS/Mapping department serves as a clearinghouse and central distributor of geographic information for Franklin County while also maintaining an accurate and current layer of parcels that are situated within our jurisdiction.
There are three departments that are under the Tax Office authority; these are the Assessing Department, Collections Department, and the GIS/Mapping Department.
