*NOTICE* The Franklin County Tax Department has a cutoff time of 4:30pm for all electronic recordings that require the tax certification stamp. If your recording needs to be routed through the tax department before coming to our office, please plan accordingly.
The Franklin County Register of Deeds offers Electronic Recording services. The office is currently accepting all document types with the exception of maps and UCC filings.
eRecording enables customers to file and record documents with the Franklin County Register of Deeds office via the internet. This means the customers no longer need to submit records by express mail, courier or in-person. The benefits of electronic recording include: faster recording of documents; reduced costs associated with paper, postage, check writing expenses, fuel and time; fewer rejected documents and increased document security.
The efficiencies realized by the utilization of eRecording result in cost savings and greater productivity to both the Register of Deeds office and our partners in the private sector.
