Franklin County Broadband Surveys
Franklin County is searching for solutions to make broadband services more available and to improve existing broadband services for our residents. Franklin County has joined with Vance and Granville Counties through the Kerr-Tar Regional Council of Governments to work with Mighty River, LLC. Joe Freddoso, with Mighty River, is helping the counties to identify resources and develop a broadband strategy.
One of the important steps in the process is gathering information about the current service levels and customer needs throughout the county. The Franklin County Broadband Action Committee has developed Residential and Business Broadband Surveys to gather information critical to the planning process. Through the survey process, the Committee is interested in hearing about your current level of service and in hearing about areas that need improved service.
Please take time to complete a brief Residential and/or Business Survey about your Internet/Broadband service in Franklin County. Information collected from the surveys will be used in the Internet/Broadband strategic planning process. Please encourage other county residents to respond as well by the due date of April 30.
Surveys will be sent home with all Franklin County School students. Copies of surveys will also be distributed through local utility bills and will be available at County Libraries and Government Offices. The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce will also be distributing the survey to its members. The Committee would like to hear from as many residents as possible to ensure that a thorough and effective strategy is developed.
