TEMPORARY RELOCATION OF TAX AND PLANNING/INSPECTIONS STAFF
As of Friday, May 22 the Planning and Inspections Department has moved back into our original office located at 215 E Nash Street in Louisburg. Planning and Inspections staff will no longer issue permits after 4:00 PM.

The Franklin County Planning Department strives to achieve excellence while fulfilling its role as administrator and advisor to the County Manager and governing body on land use, planning, zoning, subdivision, code enforcement and other regulatory programs to guide future growth and development within the county. Our commitment to excellence goes beyond our obligations to staff and elected officials.

Inspections Department Mission Statement
The Franklin County Inspections Department strives to achieve excellence in all facets of building inspections through providing timely, efficient and thorough building inspections. We are committed to providing quality services to all citizens through innovation, continuous improvement, determination and excellence in customer service. We believe that through education and cooperation, we can and will build positive working relationships within the building community, consumers, and citizens alike.
Our primary mission is to safeguard the public, promote the health, safety and welfare of Franklin County through enforcement of the North Carolina Building Code. We believe in equitable treatment for all individuals regardless of circumstances and strive to enforce all building codes in a fair and considerate manner.
