The Franklin County Library System has stopped offering plastic book bags in an effort to be more cost effective and more environmentally conscious. We will begin a program in which you may checkout a tote bag to carry your checked out materials. You are responsible for this bag as you would be with other materials. The bags may stay out for a period of two weeks just like books, CDs, and DVDs. They are eligible for two phone/internet renewals before they need to be brought back into the building. The charge for a lost or damaged bag is $4.00. These bags will not count towards the total checkout limit of fourteen items per card. We are just beginning this program and may at times be out of bags . We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We appreciate your patience as we make this transition.

The Franklin County Library System does not allow the use of smokeless tobacco inside the building. Use or misuse of tobacco on Library property may cause you to be asked to leave the premises. Expelling smokeless tobacco residue on library property will constitute vandalism and violators will be charged by the County. Thank you for your cooperation on this matter.
