Mission Statement
The
mission of the Franklin County Animal Control
Department is to provide the citizens of the county
the highest level of animal services by enforcement
of our State and local laws and to promote public
safety, health and responsible pet ownership and
animal welfare.

We need volunteers who can dedicate a
few hours each month walking dogs, or interacting with a cat
and performing other task including clerical/phone answering
and assisting in our adoption program. You can make a
difference in our shelter and become a part of a service
that could change the luck of an adoptable pet that needs a
new home.
If you are interested. Please complete
the volunteer application and release form and mail to
Franklin County Animal Control, 113 Market Street, Louisburg
NC 27549. Once your application is approved, we will be in
touch with you for an orientation session and tour of the
new facility to discuss the various openings. For those with
continued interest the Shelter will provide training and
supervision so you will be comfortable in your duties.
